The world of teaching is quickly changing. One of the main parts of teaching that is changing so quickly is the technology used to make teachers more effective.
Not only can technology be used to enhance a teacher’s curriculum, but it can also be used as a tool to link up with other teachers in order to further ideas and promote a community of teachers. Through the world of the Internet teachers can now share ideas and lessons through digital recordings with other educators.
The ARRO Grant addresses the need for these new skills as it pairs up its Praxis students with Nationally Board Certified Teachers from across the state, to evaluate digital recordings of the Praxis students. This gives the Praxis pre-service teachers a resource and mentor in order to help them learn how to digitally record one of their lessons. Not only are the students learning the technical aspect of digitally recording themselves, but they are also making great connections with the best teachers that the state of Arizona has to offer. In turn, better preparing them for teaching.
