The College of Education at Northern Arizona University offers many resources, services, types of support, and special programs for new faculty members. In addition to college-based programs, the college partners with the NAU Faculty Development Program, the Office of Academic Assessment, and the E-Learning Center to provide on-going professional development opportunities for new faculty members. There are several mentoring program available on campus for new faculty members, and additionally the college offers a Scholarship Program designed to assist faculty members during their first two years. Our goal is to provide new faculty members an opportunity to work with senior faculty members who take an interest in the new faculty member's work, a fair and clear faculty evaluation process, opportunities to collaborate with other faculty members at NAU, and a department and college environment in which unity and collegiality are valued.
