National Multiage Institute - June 23-July 4, 2008

The two-week National Multiage Institute provides historical and theoretical foundations of effective practice for children in a multiage setting, and practical ideas for designing and implementing a successful multiage classroom. Participants in this exciting opportunity will also receive six graduate credit hours.

  • Use effective instructional strategies for mixed-age learners
  • Manage the classroom
  • Teach mixed-age children the content areas
  • Plan the multiage curriculum
  • Plan the instructional day
  • Assess children in multiage classrooms
  • Work with parent, colleagues, and administrators
  • Evaluate your multiage program

Institute Classes: The National Multiage Institute consists of the following classes, resulting in six graduate credit hours:

  • ECI 647 Multiage Education
  • ECI 620 Early Childhood Curriculum

  • Registration Fee: Approx. $1498.00 (Does not include housing costs)
  • Workshop Housing Costs:

    Single Room - $22.00/night
    Per Person (Double Occupancy) - $15.00/night
    Family Rates: $30.00/night without children
    Family Rates: $34.00/night with children
    (Daytime Children's Programs are Available)
